Today’s guest is Peter Hafez, Chief Data Scientist at RavenPack, who are the leading big data analytics provider for financial services. The company’s products allow clients to enhance returns, reduce risk or increase efficiency by incorporating the effects of public information in their models or workflows. RavenPack’s clients include the most successful hedge funds, banks and asset managers in the world.
Peter is responsible for setting up and managing the company’s Data Science department, which is instrumental in the design and development of new products derived from RavenPack’s Big Data Analytics platform. With backgrounds in image processing, mathematics, machine learning and econometrics; the team is responsible for researching and modelling big data applications for the financial markets.
