Today’s guest is Lou Zhang, Director of Data Science at MachineMetrics. Founded in 2014, MachineMetrics is manufacturing’s first Industrial IoT Platform for Machines. They transform analytics into action through universal machine connectivity, cloud data Infrastructure and communication workflows that optimize machine operation. Extensible both in the cloud and at the edge, the platform is powering vertically-focused use cases for manufacturers to digitize legacy manufacturing processes and drive more profitability with their machines.

Lou is responsible for driving data science strategy, technical leadership and revenue from predictive machining products. They develop patented and novel approaches to solving open-ended problems in manufacturing using machine learning, data mining and statistical modeling, specifically in regards to predictive technology involving embedded sensors. It is their mission to conceptualize and bring-to-market predictive machining solutions for Industry 4.0.
