 | March 8 2019 | Mark Kelly

Welcome to episode 20 of AI in Action, the podcast that breaks down the hype and explores the impact that Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are making on our everyday lives.

Powered by Alldus International, our goal is to share with you the insights of technologists and data science enthusiasts to showcase the excellent work that is being done within AI in the United States and in Europe.

In today’s episode, our guest is Jeff Orkin. Jeff is the Founder and CEO at Giant Otter Technologies, who are building a future where machines can participate in extended, coherent, context-rich conversations with people. The Giant Otter conversation authoring platform builds bots bottom-up from call recordings and live chat transcripts.

Based on 10 years of research originating at MIT, their technology provides a structured, reliable, repeatable process to automate conversations directly from data. Giant Otter are developing new frameworks for artificial intelligence, capable of exploiting multiple representations of meaning, maintaining coherent dialogue over many turns and explaining their own decisions.

In the episode, Jeff will tell you about:
